Intro

The Optoma PT100 is an inexpensive entry-level projector. It’s lightweight build gives it easy portability, but don’t expect much else from this $180 projector. You won’t find much in the way of features, customization options, or picture quality.

Section The Good The Bad
Tour & Design Good looking design. Seems cheaply made.
Blacks & Whites Good greyscale gamma. Poor peak brightness
Color Accuracy N/A Poor color performance overall.
Motion Not a lot of motion artifacting. Moving images lose a fair amount of detail.
Viewing Effects Uniform screen. Pixels on the edge of the screen will flare quite a bit.
Calibration Simple to calibrate! Other than the three video modes, there aren't any other calibration settings.
Connectivity & Media N/A Not many ports and no additional media functionality.
Power, Noise & Heat Not a lot of heat output, doesn't consume much power. N/A
